At the July 5, 2017 Committee of the Whole meeting direction was given to administration to contact the proponent regarding one or more public consultations of the Hillcrest Meadows Area Structure Plan and postpone the public hearing for Bylaw 1621-17 to adopt the Hillcrest Meadows Area Structure Plan until after the public constulation process.

The purpose of the Hillcrest Meadows Area Structure Plan is to create a framework for the future subdivision and development of a new neighbourhood in Northwestern Pincher Creek. The plan provides for a range of development opportunities on previously undeveloped land.

PRESS RELEASE – STAGE 1 WATER RESTRICTION IN EFFECT

April 24, 2024 - For immediate release – On Monday, April 22, 2024, Town Council passed the amended Water Utility Bylaw. Changes to the bylaw include the trigger points for enacting water restrictions in the Town of Pincher Creek. This update was requested by the province as part of the Town of Pincher Creek’s Drought Management Plan.
 
The Town of Pincher Creek has moved from Stage 2 Water Restriction to Stage 1 Voluntary Water Conservation effective April 24, 2024 based on the Water Utility Bylaw 1631-24 revisions of April 22, 2024.
