Information Management

There are two ways to make an information request with the Town of Pincher Creek.

First, you should contact the department that you think has the information. If the information is 'routinely available' you will be provided with copies. Depending on the information you are seeking, there may be fees.

Another option is through the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP). FOIP requests are required when the information contains content that is protected under the Act. To make a request under the Act, it must be in writing and there is an initial $25 application fee for 'general' information, and there are generally no costs if you're seeking information about yourself.

FOIP requests must be received in writing.  Please fill out the form below and bring it into the Town Office with the $25.00 fee.  Please note: if your request is large or time consuming other fees may apply in accordance with the FOIP Act.  For more information or assistance filling out your form please contact the FOIP Coordinator at the Town of Pincher Creek at 403-627-3156
