Notice of Public Hearing Bylaw No. 1547-AD

PURSUANT to Sections 230, 606 and 692 of the Municipal Government Act, R.S.A. 2000, Chapter M-26, as amended, the Council of the Town of Pincher Creek in the Province of Alberta, hereby give notice of its intention to adopt Bylaw No. 1547-AD being a bylaw to amend Town of Pincher Creek Land Use Bylaw No. 1547.
 
THE PURPOSE of proposed Bylaw No. 1547-AD is to amend Schedule 2 Business Park – I3 land use district section 1 by adding “Dwelling units as a secondary use to an approved use” to the list of Discretionary Uses and deleting “Residential uses” in the list of Prohibited Uses.
 
THEREFORE, TAKE NOTICE that a public hearing to consider the proposed Land Use Bylaw Amendment Bylaw No. 1547-AD will be held in the Council Chambers of the Town of Pincher Creek Town Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Monday April 9th, 2018.
 
AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that any person who claims to be prejudicially affected by the proposed Bylaw No. 1547-AD may submit comments or give notice of oral presentation by 12:00 Noon on April 4th, 2018. Both written and/or verbal presentations may be given at the public hearing.
 
A copy of the proposed bylaw may be inspected at the Town of Pincher Creek Office, 962 St. John Avenue Pincher Creek, during regular hours.

PRESS RELEASE – STAGE 1 WATER RESTRICTION IN EFFECT

April 24, 2024 - For immediate release – On Monday, April 22, 2024, Town Council passed the amended Water Utility Bylaw. Changes to the bylaw include the trigger points for enacting water restrictions in the Town of Pincher Creek. This update was requested by the province as part of the Town of Pincher Creek’s Drought Management Plan.
 
The Town of Pincher Creek has moved from Stage 2 Water Restriction to Stage 1 Voluntary Water Conservation effective April 24, 2024 based on the Water Utility Bylaw 1631-24 revisions of April 22, 2024.
