  • in all indoor public spaces, workplaces and places of worship, including eligible businesses that implement the Restriction Exemption Program
  • for employees in all indoor work settings, except while alone in work station

  • Masks should fit well and be of high quality. People at risk of severe outcomes should wear medical masks when in settings with people outside of their household.

At this time, according to the information provided on https://www.alberta.ca/enhanced-public-health-measures.aspx the Town of Pincher Creek is not considered a high case region. 

Starting May 5, additional restrictions come into effect for regions with at least 50 cases per 100,000 people, and at least 30 active cases.  The Pincher Creek region, according to Alberta Health Services as of May 3, 2021 has 19 active cases of COVID-19.  

It is important that all residents and visitors follow all mandatory public health measures that are currently in place.  These measures can be found here: https://www.alberta.ca/enhanced-public-health-measures.aspx under the heading Province Wide Restrictions.  Please do your part for our businesses, your neighbors, and our community to stop the spread and keep our case numbers below the 30-active cases.

Starting February 24, Albertans who are over 75 can use the AHS online booking tool to schedule an appointment to be vaccinated with options for a time, date, as well as a window to book the second dose within the recommended 32 to 42 days.

Those over 75 may also call Health Link to book an appointment through a Health Link nurse. Appointments can be booked for both the first and second doses.
Seniors must return to the same clinic to receive their second dose of the vaccine to ensure appropriate timing between doses and to help manage vaccine supply.

What to Bring
Those being vaccinated will need to bring government issued ID and their Alberta Health Care number with them to their appointment.

Transportation
Those requiring transportation assistance can call 211 for available transportation options or locally in the Town of Pincher Creek can call the Handi Bus 403 627 2509

How Families / Friends Can Help
Families and friends of those over 75 who are eligible to receive the vaccine are encouraged to help book appointments and provide transportation for their loved ones. They are able to book appointments on behalf of their loved ones through the online booking tool and Health Link by calling 811.

PRESS RELEASE – STAGE 1 WATER RESTRICTION IN EFFECT
April 24, 2024
April 24, 2024 - For immediate release – On Monday, April 22, 2024, Town Council passed the amended Water Utility Bylaw. Changes to the bylaw include the trigger points for enacting water restrictions in the Town of Pincher Creek. This update was requested by the province as part of the Town of Pincher Creek’s Drought Management Plan.
 
The Town of Pincher Creek has moved from Stage 2 Water Restriction to Stage 1 Voluntary Water Conservation effective April 24, 2024 based on the Water Utility Bylaw 1631-24 revisions of April 22, 2024.
