Closures due to cougar activity - now reopen

We are happy to share that crews are currently removing barricades- the creek path, tennis courts, bike park and skate park will be open as of 10:00 a.m.
Thank you for doing your patience and doing your part to keep our community and wildlife safe. Wildlife in town can be reported to the report a poacher line by calling 1 800 642 3800

The pathway, bike park and pump track, skate park, and tennis courts remain closed. Please respect closures in place for the safety of residents and wildlife.

Pathway from Waterton Ave to Bev McLachlin Ave along with the Bike & Skate Park, Tennis Courts have been closed due to recent Cougar activity. Alberta Fish and Wildlife will be monitoring the area closely for the next 2 days.

Road Closure | Beverly McLachlin Dr | May 1-2
April 25, 2024
Beverly McLachlin Drive will be closed between Frederick Street and Adelaide Street from May 1 to May 2 to allow for the installation of a utility services.

Please use extreme caution when travelling near construction workers and obey all barricades and detours.
PRESS RELEASE – STAGE 1 WATER RESTRICTION IN EFFECT

April 24, 2024 - For immediate release – On Monday, April 22, 2024, Town Council passed the amended Water Utility Bylaw. Changes to the bylaw include the trigger points for enacting water restrictions in the Town of Pincher Creek. This update was requested by the province as part of the Town of Pincher Creek’s Drought Management Plan.
 
The Town of Pincher Creek has moved from Stage 2 Water Restriction to Stage 1 Voluntary Water Conservation effective April 24, 2024 based on the Water Utility Bylaw 1631-24 revisions of April 22, 2024.
