Recreation Plan FAQ:

How did residents give input to the plan?
Input opportunities were open to all Town and M.D. residents. A resident survey and a stakeholder survey were available during the months of July and August.   Both surveys were available online and in paper copies.   In person sessions were hosted at Cenotaph Park, the Ranchland (Co-op) Mall and the Pincher Creek Farmers Market in August.

Town and MD residents were mailed via Canada Post a reminder card to complete the survey, advertising of the survey was in all local media.

Who funded the plan?
The Town of Pincher Creek & MD of Pincher Creek funded the plan.

When will the recommendations in the plan be actioned?
All recommendations are subject to Council direction, review and budget considerations.  At this time, there are no specific timelines attached to the priorities.

What are the next steps?
Two sessions will be held for additional feedback from the community on March 4.   The plan will then be presented to both the Town and MD of Pincher Creek Councils.  The goal of the plan is to provide guidance to the Town and the MD in making decisions that best meet the recreation, parks, and culture needs of the community in the future.
