Local Giving Opportunities

All donation options stay in our community.

Christmas Hamper Project
What:
Hampers provide a family with enough food for a complete Christmas breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Who: This project is facilitated by the Pincher Creek Legion.
Important dates:
Application deadline: Dec 15
Curbside Pick Day:  Dec 21, starting at 11 a.m.  
How to help: Donations of non-perishable food items, gift cards or cash can be dropped off at the Pincher Creek Legion during business hours.  Volunteers will be needed on Dec 21 for pick up day.

Applications to receive a hamper can be picked up at the Legion, NAPI, Food Centre or Women’s Shelter.


Silent Auction at the Legion:
What:
A silent auction table located at the Pincher Creek Legion (691 Main St)
Who: All proceeds from the silent auction go to the above hamper project.
How to help: Silent auction donations can be dropped off at the Pincher Creek Legion during business hours.  To bid on an item please go to the Legion.

Campaign for KidSport
What: Supporting youth in our community who can not afford to play sports.
Who: KidSport is locally operated through the Rec Office
How to help: Donate at the Rec Office. Any amount of donation is accepted.

Trees of Hope
What: Windy Slopes Health Foundation is a registered charity whose sole purpose is to raise funds in support of priority health care equipment needs and health care programs delivered at the Pincher Creek Health Centre.
Who: Windy Slopes Health Foundation
How to help: Donations can be sent in the mail or dropped off at the Pincher Creek Health Centre or
e-transferred to windyslopespc@gmail.com

Humane Society Gifts of Hope
What:
Dedicate a donation to anyone on your list by donating to our local Humane Society 
Who: Pincher Creek Humane Society
How to help: Donate online or drop off the following items that are needed: clumping litter and kitten food (soft and hard). Co-op, Walmart & RONA gift cards are greatly appreciated.

Co-op Hunger Bags
What:
A $10, $15 or $20 bag of groceries that is donated to the Food Centre.  
Who: Pincher Creek Co-op
How to help: When you are checking out at the Pincher Creek Co-op add a $10, $15 or $20 Good buy hunger bag to your purchase.  The Co-op will arrange the groceries and deliver them to the food centre on your behalf or you can drop it in the food bin yourself.

Pincher Creek & District Food Centre
What: Monetary donation  
Who: Pincher Creek & District Food Centre (Food bank)
How to help:  A donation will help provide nutritious food to low income families and support them with greater food security.  If you would like to give a gift or make a donation, you can bring cash or a cheque to the Town of Pincher Creek office or mail it to P.O. Box 1329.

Tax receipts will be made available for donations of $20.00 or more.  Please make cheques payable to the Town of Pincher Creek, attention Food Centre.

Road Closure | Beverly McLachlin Dr | May 1-2
April 25, 2024
Beverly McLachlin Drive will be closed between Frederick Street and Adelaide Street from May 1 to May 2 to allow for the installation of a utility services.

PRESS RELEASE – STAGE 1 WATER RESTRICTION IN EFFECT
April 24, 2024
April 24, 2024 - For immediate release – On Monday, April 22, 2024, Town Council passed the amended Water Utility Bylaw. Changes to the bylaw include the trigger points for enacting water restrictions in the Town of Pincher Creek. This update was requested by the province as part of the Town of Pincher Creek’s Drought Management Plan.
 
The Town of Pincher Creek has moved from Stage 2 Water Restriction to Stage 1 Voluntary Water Conservation effective April 24, 2024 based on the Water Utility Bylaw 1631-24 revisions of April 22, 2024.

Council for the Town of Pincher Creek has accepted an offer from Link Builders for the purchase of 656 Charlotte Street, 655 Main Street, and 659 Maint Street for a total of $50,000.
