Diane's Retirement

DIANE STUCKEY RETIREMENT EVENT
Mayor Don Anderberg
March 1, 2019

Good evening everyone,

Thank you for being here to celebrate Diane’s retirement and to acknowledge her many years of service and contributions to our community.
A 39 year career in ones given field of endeavor is exceptional. having spent 39 years with one organization in any era is amazing.

In her career with the town, Diane has worked with many mayors and councils. she has also seen her job description change from time to time, up to and including being tasked with the position of CAO. In addition to her duties at the town she has been active on the summer games committee, Alberta sport council and volunteers for communities in bloom.

In my personal experience with Diane, whatever role she has taken on has been done with expertise and professionalism. I have spent many hours of quality time with Diane, at meetings of course. She is always well prepared and willing to share her experience and knowledge to the discussion at hand.
When you work with someone for an extended period of time, you get a sense of what motivates a person and a sense of their values. I could relate many qualities that Diane has, but to me the most important is the balance that she has achieved with career, family and community. Diane seems to move seamlessly between tasks, not an easy thing to accomplish.

Thank you Diane for your leadership and dedication to pincher creek.  You are a mentor and role model to a long list of children, employees and citizens in our community. Your legacy and contributions will continue guide our community far into the future.  To your credit, the question has already come up. " What would Diane do."

From the citizens, staff and council we wish you a long and healthy retirement.

Mayor Don Anderberg
