Pincher Creek boasts 290 acres of green space including ornamental parks, playgrounds, sports fields, and creek side and hillside walkways, all in the breathtaking setting of the Rocky Mountains. As a long-time competitor in the Communities in Bloom Program, there are many beautiful flower beds throughout the Town which showcase the talents and dedication of dedicated volunteers. Pincher Creek received a Provincial Award in 2001 and competed at the National level for 3 years, receiving special mention for community involvement and heritage conservation. Parks and sport fields can be reserved for league or private use and offer our community great active living opportunities for socials and gatherings. Ornamental Parks Through the hard work of dedicated volunteers, ornamental gardening projects can be enjoyed throughout the town, beautifying our surroundings and natural landscape.
Juan Teran Regional Park Located off Macleod Road (Highway 785), this regional park features more than 15 acres of beautifully developed park area.
Sproule Field This well-developed recreational area offers facilities for everyone from baseball enthusiasts to family picnics.
Lions Ball Park Located in the town, this beautifully maintained facility is a popular location for baseball fans and players from our community and beyond.
Soccer Fields For soccer enthusiasts of all ages and ability levels, Pincher Creek offers a wide variety of soccer fields within our community.
Playgrounds For the younger members of our community, Pincher Creek offers many places within town to play safely on well-maintained outdoor equipment.
Track and Field This multi-use outdoor facility accommodates everyone from joggers to soccer players and is the site of many tournaments, track meets and competitions.
Tennis Courts The Town of Pincher Creek owns and operates an excellent outdoor tennis court for community members.
Picnic Areas Many beautiful outdoor sites with picnic tables and barbecues are available for family, school, athletic or small group picnics.
Walkway System Beautiful trails and walkways nestled in the beauty of the Rocky Mountains offer great terrain for serious hikers and leisurely strolls.
Golf Course The Pincher Creek Golf Club offers a well-designed nine hole course in Pincher Creek that provides golfers with both a challenging games as well as a panoramic view of the mountains.
Municipal Campground The Town of Pincher Creek boasts a well-maintained municipally operated campground, ideally located for cylclists, boaters, motorists, RV's, visitors passing through or local families needing to “get away” for a weekend.
