Alberta Land Titles Notice

May 13, 2022

Alberta Land Titles Office is behind in processing land title transfers for properties. If you took possession of a piece of property and have not received a property tax notice, it is likely that the Municipality has not received the change of ownership information before 2022 Property Tax Notices and Assessments were mailed on May 2, 2022.

Please note: All Homeowners are responsible for paying the Property Taxes by the deadline of June 30, 2022, even if you did not receive a Property Tax Notice and Assessment. A 12% penalty will be applied to all unpaid 2022 property taxes on July 1, 2022. The deadline for Assessment Appeals is July 8, 2022.

If you have not received your 2022 Property Tax Notices and Assessment, please follow this link to fill out an application in order to receive a copy of your notice.

You will be required to email the completed application along with the Statement of Adjustments provided by your lawyer at the time of possession that includes the physical address of your new property, your legal name, and the official date of possession before we can provide a notice to you.
